The Mezamé story began with the birth of a little boy who arrived early at 32 weeks + 1 day. That’s why we chose to support premature birth by partnering with the association SOS Préma.
Founded in 2004 by Charlotte Bouvard — herself a mother of a premature baby — SOS Préma supports parents facing prematurity and/or newborn hospitalization through guidance, listening, peer support, and by improving daily life in the hospital. The association works closely with healthcare professionals and also advocates for families’ rights with public authorities.
Since January 2021, we’ve been donating a portion of our monthly revenue to support SOS Préma — helping to fund:
Carefully selected materials
Because babies’ skin is ultra-sensitive, all our materials are Oeko-Tex Class 100 certified — meaning they’re free from harmful chemicals like phthalates, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, and nickel.
Some of the fabrics in our mat range are also made from 100% organic cotton with GOTS certification — produced from natural fibers grown without pesticides and from certified organic farming.

Because we want to offer you sustainable essentials and want to "do our part" in our small way, we pay particular attention to the manufacturing conditions of our products.

Made in Hauts de France
The mattress covers are cut and sewn within an ESAT which allows people with disabilities to find work in adapted conditions.
Then these mattress covers are inserted over and closed onto the foam pieces in our main workshop in Hauts de France. This workshop also handles all our shipping and the making of our living mat accessories (storage baskets, blankets, cushions, etc.)
The printed and activity covers are entrusted to the magic fingers of a specialized workshop of around ten workers who have also been with us on Mèzamé since the very beginning.
